Your children's day stays in the family.
At a glance
You don't need a separate MorgenKlar account. Children, appointments and packing lists are stored on your phone and in your family's iCloud, not on our server. We ask before reading shared files with AI. You can say no and add appointments yourself. The original images stay on your phone and are deleted seven days after reading by default; you can choose immediately, one day or 30 days instead. Our service doesn't store the processed file, and your data isn't used to train AI models. You can export or delete everything in the app.
What we process
With your permission, the shared file – a screenshot, PDF or text – goes via our service to Claude by Anthropic to find appointments, things to bring and deadlines. Alongside the file, we send today's date; the children's first names, birth years, classes, schools and clubs; the names and roles of people the app knows; and your cards from three days before to ten days after, so it can match the right child and day and recognise what's already in your plan. We never send phone numbers. The app uses a random device ID to limit use and count anonymous usage; we store a hash of that ID, not your name or iCloud account.
Anonymous usage statistics
We count a few events, such as opening the app, adding a child, sharing a file, editing a suggestion or ticking off an item. Names, titles, messages, images and appointment details are never included. You can turn this off under Settings → Usage statistics. Statistics are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Storage and deletion
Children, appointments and packing lists are stored on your phone and in your family's iCloud. Original images are kept in the app's protected storage on your phone and deleted after the time you choose in Settings. Text and entries remain. Our server receives a temporary copy of a shared file for processing, then discards it. It logs only technical values such as file type and token count for troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
Claude by Anthropic
With your permission, Claude reads shared files through our server. Anthropic doesn't use the files to train its models. MorgenKlar doesn't use third-party advertising or track you across apps and websites.
Your choices
In Settings you can turn off AI reading, delete all images, export your data or delete everything in the app. To have your anonymous usage statistics deleted before 90 days, email us with the device ID shown under Settings → Usage statistics.
Other children and sharing
A school screenshot may contain the names or pictures of other children. The recognised text doesn't automatically remove those names yet. You choose which adults can see a child. They only see children you share with them, never your other children or the other household's data.
